  Public and Professional Education are the
Academy's primary activities.
Public education is accomplished via the publication of our patient education materials. First is a series of in-treatment (not for marketing) patient education handbooks designed to augment the informed consent process. We have produced books featuring the following systems that have at least provisional ADA approval (our external criterion for producing a patient education handbook): • Brånemark
(including Spanish and French versions) In addition to the systems handbooks, the Post-Treatment/Implant Hygiene Handbook is now available. We also have a generic, pre-treatment educational brochure to introduce
patients to the concept of implants. This brochure is ideal for your
waiting room.
