Who We Are
The YCC is comprised of a group of young clinicians who are newer members of AO. These members are active clinicians and are involved in both research and academia and come from a variety of backgrounds including oral surgery, prosthodontics, periodontics, and general practice. (See committee roster below.)
The Young Clinicians Committee (YCC) was established in 2010 to provide a platform that will bring together the knowledge of experienced clinicians and the enthusiasm of young members to raise awareness of the Academy of Osseointegration and promote research and education.
Our fundamental goal is to improve the quality of care that we provide to our patients.
What We Do
Our committee works in liaison with the AO Board of Directors to enhance the AO membership experience of younger dental implant professionals in the early phases of their careers. We focus on the following areas:
» Information dissemination through social networking media
» Recruitment efforts targeting young clinicians and students
» Recommendations for online content to AO website
» Development and promotion of AO mentorship for young/new clinicians
Get Involved!
If you are in college, dental school, residency or have been in practice for less than five years, and you want to get involved with the Academy of Osseointegration and organized dentistry ‒ this is your committee! AO offers a great deal of benefits for their members, including a subscription to the International Journal of Oral & Maxillofacial Implants (IJOMI) ‒ the leading journal in implant dentistry.
